After our long drive from Adelaide we really enjoyed the hospitality of the B & B! It was very nice to order exactly what you wanted for breakfast and "Bowie" the long haired labrador was always ready to be patted!
We drove around Broken Hill and then checked out Silverton which was home to Mad Max! Ventured into the Silverton Hotel and after a quick beer we enjoyed a meal in the evening at the Broken Hill Musicians Club which was......different.
Another very long drive, over 750 kilometres of long straight roads we arrived in Jason's home town of Dubbo to relax and meet up with Di and Kerry. It was a good chance to catch up with friends and have a day off driving and see what has changed.
Still we pushed on after a day's rest and drove the last bit of the road trip to Sydney via the Blue Mountains where we visited the area my great grandparents lived. Upon our arrival we soon discovered that when Graeme said he was making Di's bed he was "making" it to our suprise but I think we all slept well that night.
The highlight of the trip was to see my grandmother which we did and had lunch with her and caught up on this rare occasion with us all together. Of course we made sure we saw some of our other friends whilst we where in Sydney but I think after all that driving these two weary travellers were happy to be on a plane back to Adelaide and getting ready for our BIG trip at the end of the year.
BUT through Anja's work we discovered she was getting to fly to New York!!!
